Betty Anne Waters - (Conviction) This is the true story of Betty Anne Waters whose brother Kenny was wrongfully convicted of murder and given life without parole. In a bid to free her innocent brother, Waters, a pub waitress, returned to school, took the bar and became a lawyer, all in a bid to free him. After 13 years of study she uncovered not only the evidence that proved Kenny was innocent of murder but also that the local police had deliberately put him behind bars. Hilary Swank plays Waters with Sam Rockwell playing Kenny.
Cirkus Columbia - Award-winning director Danis Tanovic returns to his Bosnia Herzegovina roots for his fourth film, a film set prewar in 1991. Petty familial squabbles play against a backdrop of the onset of war, the dissolution of Yugoslavia and people's general incredulity over the threat of war.
Convención en Cedar Rapids (Cedar Rapids) We're plunged into the murky world of backwater sales conferences in this sweet film that has received more than favourable reviews. An innocent insurance salesman, so naïve that he's never really left his small town job and his adopted family, made up of his boss and his much-older lover and former seventh-grade teacher, played brilliantly by Sigourney Weaver, has to travel to the big metropolis for a weekend of self-discovery. Ed Helms, John C. Reilly and Anne Hache star.
Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte. Parte II (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) The last Harry Potter, this could either be HUGE news or barely a blip on your cultural radar. Either way, it's certainly the end of a cinematic journey for cast, crew and fans alike.
Nuestra canción de amor (My Own Love Song) Reading reviews of this film, directed by La Vie en Rose director, Olivier Dahan, you can't help but wonder if the biggest draw is the 16 previously unreleased tracks by Bob Dylan, of which, star Renée Zellweger sings some. The story uses the age-old plot of road movie where old friends, Zellweger and Forest Whitaker embark on a trip to Memphis. Supporting roles are played by Nick Nolte and Elias Koteas.
