You can enjoy the following films at Barcelona cinemas from December 16th:
Misión: Imposible Protocolo Fantasma (Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol) - When the Kremlin is blown up by terrorist attacks, IMF Special Agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his organisation are disavowed by the US president after having been accused of the conspiracy. With no resources or support, Hunt must restore the honour of his organisation and prevent another terrorist bombing. However, when he is put on a mission with IMF fugatives, he does not know who he can trust. Explosive action thriller.
Perros de Paja (Straw Dogs) - In a remake of the 1971 original, Straw Dogs tells the tale of screenwriter Davis Sumner, who moves with his wife to her hometown in the southern US. However, when tensions brew with the locals and they try to attack the couple inside their home, Sumner knows that he must do everything he can to protect his wife. Violent thriller.
El Cambiazo (The Change-Up) - Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) were best friends as children but have become cut-off in recent years. Dave is a committed lawyer, with a wife and three children whilst Mitch lives the bachelor lifestyle. They are each envious of the other's lifestyle and on a drunken night out they both wish they could live each other's lives. As luck would have it, they miraculously swap bodies and face a comic journey to revert back to their true selves.
Alvin y las Ardillas 3 (Alvin and the Chipmunks: 3) - Those mischevious,high-pitched, singing rodents are back this Christmas with their third movie, Chip-wrecked. When they accidentally go overboard and find themselves marooned on a desert island, they start a frantic adventure to make it back to civilisation. However, they are not alone...funny squeakquel for all the family.
Maktub - Manolo (Diego Peretti) is a man in crisis: his work routine is suffocating, his marriage is on the verge of breaking-down and his relationship with his children has come to a standstill. But when he randomly meets a 15-year-old cancer victim called Antonio, his life begins to change forever. Sometimes things are more than a coincidence.

El Rey León 3D (The Lion King 3D) - One of Disney's classic films is returning to cinemas this Christmas with The Lion King in 3D. Renowned for its award-winning music, it tells the tale of Simba, a lion cub who is in line to be king of Pride Rock. However, when his evil uncle Scar exiles him, he meets the comical 'Hakuna Matata' pairing of Timon and Pumba before learning that it is his destiny to one day return to his homelands and re-inforce the 'Circle of Life'.
El Cascanueces 3D (The Nutcracker 3D) - Set in Twenties Vienna, a lonely, young girl is given a wooden nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve. During the night, the doll comes to life and introduces himself as 'NC' who has been banished by the Rat King from a secret dimension where toys come to life. Together, they embark upon a magical adventure where they must risk their own lives to overthrow the tyranny of evil rats. Creative family fantasy film.
Immortals - The producers of 300 have created another epic war movie in the form of Immortals, which evolves around the ruthless king Hyperion who vows to destroy all of humanity in his quest for the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power created in the heavens. A young peasant called Theseus is secretly elected by Zeus to lead a campaign against the king and is given the responsibility to protect all of mankind. Awe-inspiring action drama with a plethora of gory violence scenes.
La Noche de Fin de Año (New Year's Eve) - With an A-List ensemble cast that includes Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Ludacris, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher and Sarah Jessica Parker amongst many others, this film documents the lives and emotions of couples and individuals on New Year's Eve. However, on this special evening, all their stories intertwine and conjure up a wide range of contrasting emotions to create an enjoyable romance comedy.
No tengas miedo a la oscuridad (Don't Be Afraid of the Dark) - A young girl, Sally, is sent to live with her father who lives in a creepy old house, where its previous owner disappeared. However, she soons learns that there is something mysterious lurking in the darkness and begins to find out the shocking truth. Edge-of-your-seat suspense horror.

Drive - Adapted from the novel by James Sallis, the eponymous driver (Ryan Gosling) is a stunt performer who drives cars in action-fuelled situations. However, when a heist goes wrong, things turn nasty and Driver faces a race against time to save his life and of the ones he loves. Explosive crime thriller.
Un lugar para soñar (We Bought a Zoo) - Based on a true story, this film tells the story of a father (Matt Damon) who moves his family to the countryside and buys a zoo. However, he must not only care for his wife (Scarlett Johansson) who has cancer but must also save the animals from extinction. Emotional family drama.
From January 5th:
La Dama de Hierro (The Iron Lady) - Meryl Streep plays the role of Margaret Thatcher in this biographical film that tells the story of one of Britain's most controversial figures. Having broken the boundaries of what was expected of gender and class in the Eighties, this film explores the fate that awaited Margaret Thatcher after her increasing demands for power.
Sherlock Holmes: Juego de Sombras (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows) - Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law star in this crime sequel and play out the exploits of the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson. In this latest installment, they face a courageous psychological and physical battle to bring down their fiercest enemy, Professor Moriarty.
