The Big Year
The following films will be premiering this week in Barcelona cinemas:
Project X - From acclaimed director Nima Nourizadeh and producer Todd Philips, the man behind The Hangover, comes a comedy which turns high school parties into the stuff of legends. It follows the story of three students in their final year who plan to throw the party of the century. With the help of a video camera, this is a party no one will ever forget. However, what began as an innocent social event quickly spirals out of control as word of the epic party spreads. Dreams are shattered, reputations tarnished and legends are born.
El Gran Año (The Big Year) - Bird watching just got ludicrously funny. Jack Black and Owen Wilson play two bird enthusiasts hoping to beat hotshot world record holder in a year-long bird spotting contest. The film also stars Steve Martin, Jim Parsons and Anjelica Houston.
Rock'n Love (You Instead) - A romantic-comedy with an indie twist, this British film is centred around one of the UK's biggest music festivals, T in the Park. Adam (played by Luke Treadaway), an indie rocker, and Morello (Natalia Tena), the lead singer of an all-girl punk band, are rival rockstars who end up handcuffed together for 24 hours. Both scheduled to perform and juggling managers, band mates and significant others, this is set to be an unforgettable weekend.
