The first speaker in Barcelona Metropolitan's debate on Catalan Nationalism, held on April 8th, 2010. Charles Ablett is the son of a British father and a Catalan mother and has lived in Catalunya for the past 20 years. He is a scholar of Catalan history and is opposed to Catalan nationalism.

    After suffering from nationalism problems for more than 80 years (WWII, Serbia, etc.) we have to deal with the same antidemocratic ideas and discriminations brought by the nationalists up here! Very good analysis from Charles Ablett!

  • Good analysis

    No doubt a good analysis on the so many wrong things contained in the estatute. Recently, after the failed polls on the independence, it has been proofed that only a minority is interested in this issue. Now it's time for the majoriy to speak out and, after the consolidation in Spain of the autonomies state, bring the nationalist issue to an end
