When you visit Daniel’s art studio, deep in the Raval quarter, you step into an oasis in the heart of the city. From its tranquil garden, which is shared by different artists, you are close enough to hear the hustle and bustle outside but still secluded enough to take a peaceful break from your day.
Based on an artistic and pedagogical experience Daniel Yacubovich’s Art Studio offers the necessary support, working in small groups, allowing for personalised attention to channel your ideas and give creative forms to your concepts.You will develop techniques of artistic expression through, drawing, painting, collage, mixed techniques, for personal and professional purposes.
The two-hour workshop is held once a week and is illustrated with synthesised commentaries about contemporary culture.The classes help communication, stimulate expressive creative processes, free artistic curiosity and relieve stress.
Daniel also offers bespoke art classes, in which he takes you to interesting spots around the city, teaching you about their historical and artistic background, allowing you to develop your skills by creating installations and becoming part of the city itself!
Daniel Yacubovich was born in 1954 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1963, he emigrated with his family to Israel where he studied art and graphic design. In 1982 he moved to Barcelona.
A multidisciplinary artist, Daniel has collaborated and created a huge variety of projects, from chair design to video installation. Currently, he is writing a book about the principles of colour, and he continues to work within the area of pictorial installation and video. His work has been exhibited across the world, in Europe, Argentina, the United States and Israel. He also teaches at the Escuela Superior de Diseño (ESDI), Ramón Llull University, in Barcelona.
