Conocerás al Hombre de tus Sueños - (You will meet a tall, dark stranger): Woody Allen's fourth film to be set in London features a round table of actors including Sir Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts, Antonio Banderas and Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire fame. As usual Allen's film centres around the overcomplicated lives of a set of four unhappy relations who are grasping to find that illusive happiness.
Miedos 3D - (The Hole - 3D): By legendary director Joe Dante who brought us Piranha, Gremlins and Small Soldiers comes this, his latest offering. Dante returns to the thriller/horror genre to tell us the tale of a family who flee New York to move to sleepy town Bensonville. With mum out working the two young brothers discover a hole in their basement and to their horror realise that it is never ending. Scary.
Predators: Directed by Nimród Antal this is the 3rd film of the predator franchise. Starring Adrien Brody and Laurence Fishburne the film opens to Adrien Brody, who plays Royce, a mercenary, who wakes from unconsciousness as parachuting from a plane into a jungle. Adventure and aliens ensues.
The Karate Kid: Produced by Jada Pinkett-Smith and Will Smith, starring their son Jaden, this remake of the classic Karate Kid tells us of the tale of a Detroit kid who moves to China, encounters a local bully but makes a friend in an older kung fu master. Not sure where the Karate comes in exactly.
Todo sobre mi desmadre - (Get him to the Greek): Love him or hate him (mainly hate him) Russell Brand plays a drugs and drink monster rock star who's live goes to the dogs after he releases a single called 'African Child' and it flops. His career is in the doldrums but he has to get from London to LA in three days accompanied by a low level talent scout played by Jonah Hill. Sean 'Puffy' Combs is also in it.
