The new exhibition features a collection of works by eight different artists. They present an homage to the innovation and genius of Pablo Picasso by speculating on what Picasso would be doing if he were alive today.
The unveiling of the exhibition coincided with Picasso's birthday and focuses on the concept that our extremely visual culture today is decidedly cubist, and that we are almost defined by the scraps of images on the computer screen and the bombardment of images and advertisements in the street. The artists each explore a modern interpretation of Picasso's legacy, turning to the history of art and the cultural zeitgeist to create a fragmented and complex depiction of society.
The exhibition will be displayed at Sala Parés until November 27th. Entrance is free. The exhibition hours are Mondays from 4-8pm; Tuesday to Friday from 10.30am-2pm and from 4-8pm; Saturdays from 10.30 am- 2pm and from 4.30-8.30pm; Sundays from 11.30am-2pm.
