The Maritime Museum of Barcelona hosts a new temporary exhibit of works by Raül Martínez, depicting life under the water and all made using recycled bits and bobs.
Two years in the making, all the articles on show are inspired by nature and Martínez has set out not just to caputre the visual aspect of the creatures on show, but also their character and very life essence.
The artist has used a variety of second-hand materials to make his underwater world, including car engines, umbrellas and metal pieces from workshops. With them, he has created jellyfish, a turtle, a blowfish and crabs, amongst others. Take a trip to the depths of the sea without leaving dry land!
