As part of Circuit 2013, Sebastian Liste brings his photos to Barcelona's French Institute, showing the daily life of a Brazilian community who turned a deserted chocolate factory into a home for themselves in Salvador de Bahia.
8 years ago, 60 families occupied ‘Galpao da Araujo Barreto’, an abandoned chocolate factory. Together they transformed it into a home for themselves. Yet in March 2011, the government evicted all the families and demolished the structure of the chocolate factory. The project now stands as a testimony to a place that no longer exists.
The exhibition is open from Monday to Friday from 10h-21h and on Saturdays from 10h-13h.
