ULLS Festival Barcelona Cultura
The five-day performing arts extravaganza (for the most part theatre, music and dance) that is the ULLS Festival returns to Barcelona this October. Its main aim is to build a cultural bridge between the seemingly disparate European and Latin-American cultures, so expect a truly variated experience.
The central space in which the festival will take place is Plaça de la Merce in the Barri Gòtic. However, urban spaces and buildings such as the Centre d'Arts Santa Monica, the Institut del Teatre, Plaça del Rei, the Rambla del Raval, Passeig de Sant Joan and Library Singuerlín will also play host to a number of performances and exhibitions.
These include The Galilee Multicultural Theatre, the young Portuguese entertainer Miguel Bonneville, and a number of dancers choreographed by Lola Lince and Constanza Macras. That being said, a major aim of the festival is to keep the masses on their toes (by way of surprise acts, etc.), so the organisers are keeping the finer details firmly under wraps for the moment.
