Whether you prefer your music like a slow burn or a fierce furnace, Tori Sparks is bound to light your fire.
She's an eclectic rocker with a full and soulful voice. Her blend of folk, country and jazzy rock is a perfect base for her poetic lyrics.
The lyricist and vocalist (and Metropolitan collaborator, see below) now calls Barcelona home, having left Nashville behind. Her latest album Until Morning/Come out of the Dark is actually a double EP, described as "a study in dichotomy". It's Sparks's fourth studio album, and it showcases her impressive range; the first disc is a darker, more sensual side to her music, the other is saturated in fragile folk and hope.
Tori Sparks performs at La Hora del Blues at MEAM on July 19th at 9pm.
