The Posies' 23 years of music making have been sporadic and turbulent, with breaks as long as some bands' entire careers. However, the seven records the Seattle-area group have put out since their debut in 1988 have been warmly received across the world, establishing them as one of the biggest power pop/alternative rock groups of the past two decades.

Drawing on vocal harmonies from the Hollies and songwriting likened to Big Star, the Posies have returned with their first album since 2005, to be released on Sept. 28. With Blood/Candy hitting the market just four days before their stop in Barcelona, this is a revival not to be missed.
