The Beauty Queen of Leeane
Described as "disturbingly moving, entertaining and funny", The Beauty Queen of Leenane is the first play by acclaimed Irish playwright Martin McDonagh. It tells the story of spinster Maureen Folan, the dysfunctional relationship she has with her manipulative and self-centred mother, Mag, and the final chance of romance she gets when an English construction worker moves to the Irish village.
The play was nomintated for the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play, and stars Dermot Aragon, Lisa Coleman, Daniel Ewing and Sue Flack. Patrick Taggart directs.
