The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is the site for the Hyundai Open Barcelona, the Spanish stop of the women's Swatch FIVB Beach Volley World Tour 2009, which gathers 125 players from 50 countries competing on four courts. More than 100 games sees $200,000 in prizes at stake in this event which promises some of the the best beach volleyball in the world.
The event takes place in front of the Museu Nacional d`Art de Catalunya (MNAC), a stadium with capacity for 3,500 spectators. Visit the website www.worldtourbarcelona.com for the competition schedule.
Entrance is free – seating is limited to the capacity of the enclosure.
