No man's head II by Stéphane Villafane
Stéphane Villafane, 'Volatile Skin' Home
French artist Stéphane Villafane started and completed each of his paintings in the Nineties, culminating in an exhibition that screams indecision, doubt and desire. His work attempts to cling to the memory of time and is a testimony to the artist's own fears. The figures, faces and landscapes are captured in a haunting haze, a 'volatile skin' that results in images best described as beautifully morbid.
