St Patrick's Day at Kitty O'Shea's
Ireland's national holiday, St Patrick's Day, is celebrated annually on March 17th to commemorate its patron saint. Nearly 60 million people across the world boast Irish descent and most cities, such as Barcelona, celebrate the day in style.
This year, the centre of Irish celebrations in Barcelona will be Kitty O'Shea's, the first Irish pub and restaurant in Barcelona, which opened in 1994. From 11am on Saturday March 17th, Kitty's has organised a family festival which features children's activities, such as storytelling and face-painting, and cultural activities and performances, including traditional dancers and music from The Stompers.
The celebrations will end at 6pm with the broadcast of the England-Ireland SIx Nations rugby game.
