A book sale, afternoon tea and music hall songs will all be held to mark the feast-day of the English and Catalan patron saint George or Jordi on April 23rd. Afternoon tea (with scones and cakes) takes place between 5 and 6pm, while there will be a music hall sing-a-long, led by Sue Mayo (song sheets provided) from 6 to 6.30pm.
The afternoon tea, organised by the British Society, is free of charge and open to all members of Casa Orlandai—it will be an excellent opportunity for British Society members to meet up with those of other associations. There will also be poetry reading and story-telling for children in English, together with information about special events and places to visit in England this summer.
They are looking for donations for the book sale—any unwanted books should be left at the reception desk of Casa Orlandai on April 22nd.
