Solos Bach & Gould
Nowadays it's known as the 'Goldberg Variations', but in fact, the original score was published in 1742 with the title 'Keyboard Practice'. As the original name would suggest, it was a series of musical scores to be practised!
This newly-interpreted dance duet. Solos Bach & Gould, is based on the written score, but with a series of instructions for the dancer. The evolution of the score has been created in a close relationship with the soundtrack, including Glenn Gould's explanations about his way of playing and his recorded 'Goldberg Variations'. You can hear the sound of Gould talking and playing.
In 2009, the score used for Solos Bach & Gould was rewritten by Albert Quesada and passed onto two other dancers, who practised the movement score separately and created their own interpretations, using this original score as the starting point.
Tickets are priced at €5.
