One of the world's top 10 carnivals, the Sitges Carnival attracts more than 250,000 people to the town over a period of seven days. Come and witness the amazing parades, consisting of over 40 sparkling floats filled with beautiful people, scantily dressed in colourful costumes of glitter and feathers, and drumlines to keep the crowd active and entertained. Then head to the beach or the clubs for some of the wildest parties of the year.
On the most popular days and nights of the festivities (Sunday and Tuesday), thousands of partygoers will be dancing on the major streets across this picturesque, seaside town. All are welcome—young and old, gay and straight, people in fancy dress or those just there to observe—because although the scene can get crazy in the wee hours of the morning after the parades have finished, this carnival is regarded as one of Europe's safest street carnivals.
There are children's parades at 12pm on Sunday 15th, and 3pm on Tuesday 17th. The adult parades are take place at 8pm on the same days.
