For the biggest Easter parades in Barcelona, catch the Metro blue line (L5) to Can Vidalet in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. Established in 1977 by a group of 15 homesick Andalucíans, the event is as authentic as it gets, and all six processions that mark the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Sunday 28th March 2010. Domingo de Ramos - Palm Sunday

  • 11am: Paso de la Borriquita. The first Easter procession
  • 6.30pm: Paso de Jusús Cautivo

Friday 2nd April 2010. Viernes Santo - Good Friday

  • 8.30am: Paso de Jesús Nazareno y Nuestra Señora de los Dolores (Our Lady of Sorrows)
  • 9pm: Paso del Cristo de la Expiación (The Atonement of Christ)

Saturday 3rd April 2010. Sábado Santo - Easter Saturday

  • 8pm: Pasos del Santo Sepulcro y Nuestra Señora de la Soledad (The Holy Tomb and Our Lady of Solitude)

Sunday 4th April 2010. Domingo de Resurrección - Resurrection Sunday (Easter Day)

  • 6pm: Pasos Jesús Resucitado y Nuestra Señora de los Remedios (Resurrection of Jesus and Our Lady of Remedies)
