Segle XVIII. Obras maestras de la pintura en España
Fundación Francisco Godia, just off Gran Via, will exhibit paintings from some of the leading international and Spanish artists from the 18th century. It aims to allow the public a glimpse of a collection of great works from a relatively unknown golden era of art; one particular piece being La obra, con la conducción de un sillar, one of the few works by Goya presented in Catalan. The paintings range from the realism of Goya to the Neoclassicism of Anton Raphael Mengs, through to the Romanticism of Vicente López.
Brought together from private collections and contributions from the Museo del Prado and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, it's all at your viewing pleasure from October 2010 to January 2011.
