Scissor Sisters home
Quite simply, Scissor Sisters put the 'glam' in glamrock. The disco divas first started on the gay-friendly club scene of New York before meeting female vocalist Ana Matronic at Disney Land and signing their first record deal soon afterwards. Their self-titled debut album went to number one in the UK and was in fact the highest selling album of 2004; shame on you if you've never found yourself humming the tune 'Take Your Mama' at an inappropriate time. Second album Ta-Dah featured their most successful single to date, ´I Don't Feel Like Dancin' with Elton John as pianist and co-writer. Latest release 'Night Work' has seen the group move further into the disco/club scene. Lead singer and ex-stripper Jake Shears used to take all his clothes off on-stage and audiences have been showered with inflated condoms before; do not be surprised by anything when the Scissor Sisters are in town.
