Sant Joan fireworks
Tonight may be one of the shortest nights of the year, but for most of Barcelona, and Catalunya, the celebrations won't end until the morning.
To commemorate the summer solstice, the whole of Barcelona will erupt (not literally, you understand) for the Feast of Sant Joan on June 24th, in a spectacular fusion of fireworks, bonfires and boozing throughout the night of the 23rd. With almost every establishment jumping on the Sant Joan bandwagon, the sheer plethora of parties, fireworks and food around every corner may leave you overwhelmed. Celebrations are all over town but many head to the beach to get a good view of the pyromaniacal displays and a real sense of the party.
Although the celebrations will be hard to miss, check out the website here to find your nearest party!
