Días Nórdicos returns to Barcelona this month for a very special celebration of music and culture from across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The impressive lineup includes The Hearing, Nils Beach, Hey Elbow and Nelson Can, each bringing their own unique style and sound to the event. The festival will feature for one night only on September 10th in Barcelona before it moves to Madrid. Tickets can be purchased at the box office for €13, whilst advance tickets cost €10. Doors open at 8pm.
The Hearing. Behind The Hearing is singer-songwriter Ringa Manner from Helsinki, combining romantic lyrics with soft electronic sounds, her music is an experience for all the senses.
Nils Bech. This Norwegian artist is renowned for his highly conceptual music, which seamlessly fuses sound and art to create an almost other-worldly musical experience.
Hey Elbow. This trio from Sweden performed at the Días Nórdicos festivals held across South America last year with great success. Projecting a strong democratic message, their music is infused with jazz and pop sounds and is a front runner in today’s alternative music scene.
Nelson Can. A Danish rock band comprising of three artists, the trio can be seen to adopt original rock sounds with a unique twist. As part of their minimalist dogma, Nelson Can do not use guitars. Their signature sound combines drum and bass with remarkable vocals by Selina Gin.
