Rock 'n' Roll
British playwright Tom Stoppard's 2006 play Rock'n'roll is set in the Sixties and explores themes of liberty and revolution, ping-ponging back and forth between Prague and Cambridge, England, and covering the years from 1969 to 1989. Stoppard was born Tomas Straussler in what was then Czechoslovakia, but left it when still a baby, and this is the first piece he wrote that includes his country of birth.
The play has been translated here from English to Catalan, but on Thursday and Saturday evenings (8.30pm and 9.30pm respectively), it will be shown with English subtitles.
