American DJ and record producer, Arthur Baker, helped to pioneer the electronic music movement, a sound that now transcends a host of countries and various other musical genres. Known for his collaborations with hip-hop artists Afrika Bambaataa, Planet Patrol and New Order, Baker more recently featured in 808 (2015), a documentary film about the inspiring story of the Roland TR-808 drum machine, and how it led to the birth of electronic music. In a genre that has defined hip-hop and modern dance culture, 60-year-old Baker is considered an icon on the electronic music scene, and will be delivering ground-shaking beats at Razzmatazz on February 12th.
