Prominent and acclaimed performer and artist of the underground culture scene in NYC, Lydia Lunch promotes her latest work here in Barcelona, where she's lived for many years. Amnesia is a CD-book that features original texts (in Castilian and English), photos of Lunch herself, music performed with previous collaborator Jacob Kirkegaard and a video entitled Ghosts of Spain. Themes explored in the work, such as war and the desperation of man, are partly based on Lunch's visits to the Aragonese village of Belchite, which was razed to the ground during the Spanish Civil War.
The presentation of Amnesia features a reworking of her performance Ghosts of Spain, with music and video—it has already been shown in other places in Spain including Palma de Mallorca and arrives in Barcelona straight from Madrid.
