This September and October, both poetry and philosophy aficionados and those whom know nothing of either subject but are curious nonetheless are invited to attend a five-session course with Antonio Clapés.
An expert in both spheres of knowledge, Antonio Clapés is perhaps best known for his 20 published books (15 of which are poetry books) and his translations of a number of poems from French and Italian.
During this course, Clapés will host five different sessions:
September 18th - Philosophy and poetry: the pre-Socratics
September 25th - The expulsion of the poetry of the Republic (Plato) and the reconciliation: Romanticism
October 2nd - Romanticism, Novalis, Hölderlin, Hugo
October 9th - Hölderlin: Hyperion and The Archipelago
October 16th - The 20th century: the attempt to drive: Zambrano, Maillard
Each session will take place between 7.30pm and 9pm and the course itself costs €40.
