At the height of the current refugee crisis, Cine Refugi presents their series of films, seeking to bring awareness to the issue through the big screen. The campaign uses films to promote values of peace and unity, working in collaboration with other similar organisations. Cine Refugi continues its cycle of films with ‘Le Havre’ (2011) by Finnish writer and director Aki Kaurismäki. The comedy surrounds a shoeshiner who tries to rescue an immigrant child in the French city. Uniting politics, humour and optimism, Kaurismäki delivers an insightful film in light of the contemporary context. The screening takes place in Sarrià and is free to attend.
