Picasso was one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century. Co-founder of the Cubist movement, his art has inspired discussion and debate amongst contemporary artists all over the world. This exhibition features works that highlight his ongoing presence in art and examines the various ways in which over 41 artists from Africa, Asia, Europe and America relate to his work. Picasso’s impact extends beyond painting, through to sculpture, photography and video. The exhibition does not include works by Picasso, but these can be seen in the museum’s permanent collection.
