The evolution of Peter Gabriel has been an interesting one. He started off as the flamboyantly dressed vocalist and flautist of the Hall of Fame rock group Genesis in the 70s, proceeded to produce world-influenced music for several years and more recently has been involved with several humanitarian projects in and outside of his musical career. No matter which path Gabriel walked down, his seemingly loyal fan base followed.
And they have followed him here after more than thirty years of music-making and outspoken artistry. Scratch My Back, released earlier this year, reached the top 5 of several music charts in Europe and North America. The innovative concept album found Gabriel covering several artists' songs--Bon Iver's "Flume," Arcade Fire's "My Body is a Cage," and Radiohead's "Street Spirit (Fade Out)," among others--in exchange for their covers of his songs.
Be sure to act on this chance to see Gabriel's originality soon--many sections of the Palau have already sold out.
