Iconic among the Latin alternative music scene, and having reached a broad, global audience through singing in French, Spanish, English, Italian, Arabic, Catalan, Galician and Portuguese, the talented singer and political activist began his musical career in Paris in the mid-Eighties. His extensive musical career includes Clandestino (1998), Chao’s first solo album, and the Grammy-nominated Proxima Estación: Esperanza (2001), from which Chao is expected to draw from this Saturday as he performs some of his most popular works.
