For the 17th year, the Costa Brava town of Pals celebrates the local type of rice (arròs) through the creation and consumption of special dishes made using the special grain.The inaugural day of Saturday March 6th, there will be special events including an all-day market featuring Catalan products, a rice cooking contest and prize-giving (from 9am), tasting of rice dishes and wines from the Castell de Peralada (12pm), and a guided tour of rice-growing areas in Pals aboard a special mini-train (1.15pm).
