One of the most well-established and celebrated Spanish pop singers, María Lucía Sánchez Benítez, professionally known as Malú, comes to Palau Sant Jordi this Friday. Born in Madrid in 1982, Malú is the daughter of flamenco singer Pepe de Lucía and the niece of famous flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía, and grew up surrounded by musical talent. Her own music career began when she was 15 and her first album Aprendiz (1998) sold over 650,000 copies in Spain. The award-winning musician has since released 10 more albums. She will present the latest album, Caos (2015), at Friday’s concert.
