Created in 1987, the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès works as a collective in which members are both workers and owners. In this way, the orchestra is not only a musical project, but also takes on a social dimension and works as part of the wider community. With a focus on offering emotive and powerful performances, this show sees the orchestra play works by two great composers of Slavic origin: the first, 'Cello Concerto in B minor' by Czech composer Dvorák, and the second Tchaikovsky's 'Symphony No. 5 in E minor'. The performance features cellist Pau Codina, and is conducted by winner of the Cadaqués Orchestra International Conducting Competition 2013, Lorenzo Viotti.
