On March 29th, a number of talented musicians will unite to pay tribute to one of classical music’s greatest composers. A host of individual vocalists will sing alongside Palau de la Música’s very own chamber choir, and all singers will be supported by the French period instrument ensemble Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble.
Bassoonist-turned-conductor Marc Minkowski founded his spirited ensemble in 1982, which initially specialised in baroque music. More than three decades later, Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble have relocated from Paris to the Alps and have sidetracked from their original repertoire to cover the likes of Offenbach and more. The orchestra are considered one of the best in the world by the Guardian.
Tickets are available from €20. More information here.
