Founded in London in 2012 by Simona Barbieri, and with more than 16,000 members in over 13 countries, Hub Dot brings a uniquely human touch to the way women network. Hub Dot’s philosophy is to connect with fellow interesting women through storytelling. Coloured dots are worn to indicate the aim of each individual as they partake in the networking event, from ‘I’m established in my career’ and ‘I have an idea, can anyone help?’ to ‘I want to tell you about my work’ and ‘I’m here to be inspired’. The dots are interchangeable, so you have the freedom to explore different aspects of your own story throughout the evening—start a conversation that begins with ‘What’s your story?’ rather than ‘What do you do?’ Find out more about Hub Dot in this interview with Kate Jess.
