Oh fantasmaOh Fantasma! is one of the Catalan bands to perform at this year's Nits d'Estiu
What better way to spend a mid-week summer evening than exploring alternative realities, listening to the music of Gershwin or the poetry of Poe, or discovering the subtle movements and forms of Japanese music and art? Every Wednesday for the next two months, CaixaForum offers a host of open-air concerts and activities alongside its permanent and temporary exhibitions, during its ‘Summer Nights’ season. Activities begin at 8pm and run until midnight. The bucolic background of Montjuïc adds to the midsummer night magic. The price for each event is €6, with a 50 percent discount offered to clients of La Caixa.
This year, the music will be the main attraction of the programme, with eight concerts at CaixaForum. Catalan artists are a highlight and feature Maria Rodés and the band Oh Fantasma!, formed by members of other renowned groups such as Refree, Anímic, Under, Hat and El Petit de Cal Eril.
The opening show, on July 3th—a participative event that invites audience interaction—will give an overview of the history of musicals with a choir formed by more than 150 singers.
