Yo es otro y los otros soy yo

The Spanish artist, Jorge Gil, describes his art as ‘revolving around the identity, vulnerability and loss of an individual, by questioning the human condition.’ His work uses various wooden dolls, puppets and mannequins to investigate the differences between what is real and what is fiction. Gil’s work incidentally has a festive element to it, with bunny rabbits featuring in his visual installations, but the exhibition has a more profound, universal concept behind it: its aim is to get the viewer to reconsider how they construct and represent their own identity and, in turn, questions how far from reality this fabricated identity differs.
