The Museu Picasso has chosen 29 etchings by Pablo Picasso from its collection that are usually not exhibited to the public, giving us the chance to see these special pieces.
The artist worked on etchings throughout his life, but it was during the periods from 1920 to 1940, and 1963 to 1973 that these really made an impact on his career and personal life. The techinique is characterised by the use of copperplate and engravings, which Picasso used from 1930 onwards as a sort of diary about his most personal thoughts.
