In celebration of the centenary of the scooter invention (New York, 1916), the Museu Moto Barcelona has inaugurated a retrospective exhibition examining the many stages of the vehicle’s development. With over 300,000 circulating each day, the scooter is one of the city’s most popular modes of transport. It’s popularity is easy to understand in a city with such a mild climate—it’s a quick and enjoyable way to travel, avoiding congestion and the metro system. The exhibition will explore how, since its invention, the scooter has revolutionised the way in which people are able to move across the city.
