This unique exhibition was devised by The Creative Europe committee and co-produced by museums in France, Spain and Denmark, and this year is being showcased in cities across Europe, including Barcelona, in a wide variety of venues, from museums and train stations to airports and festivals.
The exhibition presents the evolution of our relationship with music and focuses on a wide range of different historical and cultural influences. The collection includes 2,000 musical instruments, making for an interactive visitor experience. The exhibition also features a classical guitar collection, which is considered to be one of the most important in the world, with a huge range of guitars from across the globe, encompassing a variety of eras and civilisations. As well as demonstrating the history of musical instruments and their progression, the exhibition also explores new technologies that are emerging in the field of music.
The exhibition will be held from September 20th until November 27th at the Museu de la Música. Entrance is free and more information can be found here.
