Murder by death
Taking their name from the 1976 Robert Moore film, Murder by Death attain their gothic sound by fusing folksy americana melodies with ghostly instrumentals. Forming in 2000, the band built up a fanbase through the release of their first EP, Litte Joe Gould (2001), after which they began an 11-date tour of the US. The band have since released four official albums with their record label and toured extensively with bands such as Interpol and Cursive. Their fourth LP, Red of Tooth and Claw (2008) was featured on the Inglourious Basterds soundtrack whilst their newest material, Good Morning, Magpie was released April of this year.
