Antoni Muntadas began a series of interviews between 1983 and 1991 to 160 figures of the international art circuit to discuss how art is also affected by economic and political factors and current social systems.

The filmed interviews make up 'Between the Frames: The Forum'. According to Muntadas the work presents 'a vision of the art system in the Eighties' although his work continued beyond that decade. Split into eight different 'chapters' of varying durations, amounting to a total of 260 minutes. He sits down with dealers, gallery owners, collectors, museum directors, guides, critics and specialists. This work, which was aquired by MACBA in 2001 is a still relevant dialogue on the art world.
