From June 28th-July 9th Barcelona bursts into life with its annual Pride festivities. A plethora of events have been planned that are aimed both at celebrating the LGBTI community as well as highlighting what progress still needs to be made in areas such as social exclusion, health and civil rights. Moll de la Fusta has been designated as this year’s Pride headquarters; on the weekend of July 8th and 9th it will host Pride Kids, an area complete with bouncy castle and waterfight. It will also be the site of The Village and the Main Stage, which include an exhibition area, bar, high heels race, Miss Drag Pride competition, foam party and DJ sets. No Pride celebration would be complete without its parade; this year it kicks off with a pre-parade party in Plaça Espanya at 4pm on Saturday 9th, it will then make its frenetic way down Avinguda del Paral·lel, concluding at Moll de la Fusta.
