Taking place the last Saturday of June, the first edition of Makers of Barcelona plans to bring together inventors, artists, engineers, students and DIY lovers for a family friendly day of creativity.
The Maker Faire event has taken place across the globe from New York to Tokyo to Rome and now arrives in Barcelona. You can find everything from arts and crafts to more high tech innovations, and throughout the day there will be various workshops and talks for the whole family to get involved in. During the main part of the day, 12pm to 5pm, the Ultra Lab LittleBits will take place allowing children and their parents to create circuits with magnets creating a fun scientific experiment. Makers of Barcelona have also organised a robot race the day before the fair in Arc de Triomf where participants will dress up in a home-made robot costume and the winner will get a prize. For more information go to the Facebook event.
Entrance is free.
