Visitors mill about outside MACBA's Richard Meier designed building.
Four famous international record and music memorabilia collectors will be involved in MACBA's Memorabilia. Col·leccionant sons amb.., a series of conferences running weekly from April 2nd to May 5th in the museum's Auditorium.
The four collectors will be William Bennett, a mythical character from the industrial-punk scene and founder of the controversial Whitehouse group; Ed Veenstra who collects "anti-discs", (strange, indefinable objects) as well as more classic items and discs; Rick Prelinger, whose impressive collection of amateur films, commercials and propaganda of the last century was acquired by the Library of Congress in Washington; and Mark Gergis, author of Sublime Frequencies and an expert on music from Syria, Iraq, Cambodia and Thailand.
Memorabilia. Col·leccionant sons amb... aims to reveal the private collections of music memorabilia and sound that belong to these men.
