As an admirer of German Expressionism and French Fauvism, Guillermo Martí Ceballos uses colour in his paintings as the main medium of expression. Landscapes, urban issues and the human form are his favorite motifs. He paints mainly female faces, that through rich, chromatic harmonies, shapes and contours transmits human character and personality of the sitter.
Having studied graphic design and drawing at the Escuela Massana of Barcelona he carried out numerous studies of the natural and nude female form. He later went through an Impressionist phase where his work shows freedom of expression through the use of rich colours.
Since 1996 he has exhibited his work regularly at various galleries in Spain and France. He has also had work exhibited in Holland, Italy, Mexico and the US.
