María Pagés' fame extends far beyond the borders of Spain. In 2008, she was invited to Russia by legendary Mikhail Baryshnikov to perform an intimate and personal show. From this piece, she created her most recent work, a self-portrait which delves into her own identity. The backdrop to her dance is provided by poems by Gabriel García Lorca, Miguel Hernández, and Antonio Machado, all sung by Ana Ramón and Ismael de la Rosa.
