'Past Disquiet, Narratives and Ghosts from The International Art Exhibition for Palestine, 1978' will be showing at the MACBA from February 20th until June 1st this year. The documentary exhibition explores the history of 'The International Art Exhibition for Palestine, 1978', an impressive and ambitious exhibition that was inaugurated in Beirut (Lebanon), in March 1978. Tragically, the building where the works were stored, and much of the exhibition's archives and documents, were destroyed during the Israeli siege of Beirut in 1982. Reconstruction began with a copy of its catalogue listing artists and institutions; 'Past Disquiet' gathers recollections and documents to investigate this recent history.
